I really wanted to love this blanket. It is incredibly soft and it is warm. I bought this in Navy Blue and the color is deep and rich. I bought this instead of the Martex Vellux blanket in Navy since it received bad reviews on shedding, plus it is no longer made here in the USA. Is anything anymore? Regardless, I gave this a chance (its made in China also) and when I pulled it out of the zippered bag, it had a chemical odor, plus immediately I had fuzz on my hands. I washed it twice...plus I hand-picked the shedding, and realized this would probably never stop. I even took a light vacuum brush to it...nope. The worst part was the shedding is ALL OVER my light colored sheets and I've washed and dried them separately to minimize the transfer of blue lint but its not coming off very easily. Not sure why this got good reviews, maybe just the darker color is evident.
